The aim of Ankron is to offer high-quality consulting and services based on experience, knowledge and a globally established network.
We can finalise your projects successfully by applying a selective combination of engineering and science.
Project Manager and Quality
Erik Köster is the Managing Director at Ankron Water Services. In this position, Erik directs all maritime water projects with a strong focus on ballast water treatment. With a background in process engineering and energy technology, he specialised in the field of ballast water with particular expertise in market evaluation and testing of treatment systems.
Erik´s involvement in various projects provided him ample experience with type approval processes (G8, G9), market entry, market studies, testing and scaling issues. Furthermore, he carried out several technical audits for approving authorities and is part of the ETV UV technical panel.
He began his career as a project manager in applied research, leading several developmental land and shipboard testing of marine water
treatment projects such as ballast water. Erik also managed several research and development projects and has been involved in designing, developing and testing ballast water treatment systems
from lab to full scale. In ballast water projects he acts as administrative project manager.
Furthermore, he is the appointed Quality Systems Officer at Ankron.
Scientific Project Manager
Dr. Claudia Dreszer is the Chief Scientific Officer at Ankron Water Services and holds a PhD in natural science. She is responsible for testing of water treatment systems and advanced analytics at Ankron and is in charge of testing onboard the vessel, which includes sampling and analysis of water samples. Claudia also is responsible for development and maintenance of the QMP, QAPP and SOPs.
She became an expert for ballast water and established a shipboard testing routine and completed several test cycles on-board container vessels and super yachts. She also preformed fundamental ballast water studies including surveys on neutral red, MPN, FDA/CMFDA and the effect of UV treatment on plankton.
Before starting her career in the water industry, Claudia worked as PhD student at Wetsus Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Water Technology with biofouling and tests of water treatment systems. During her Water Science study program, she worked as scientific staff member at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Research Laboratory, as well as the Marine Laboratory of the University Guam where she worked with marine bacteria and sponges. Claudia has extensive knowledge in water treatment, instrumental analytics, microbiology and water sampling.
