Tuesday June 26th the uptake water in Eckernförde was sampled during the ballasting operation. After a short voyage with a two-day holding time the discharge is sampled during the deballasting process today. This was the first of 3 consecutive test cycles on board. The system will be tested in different water conditions over the next months.
Update from Ankron Water Services GmbH Testing Team: Despite the challenging uptake conditions in Eckernförde (see picture a) yesterday’s discharge (see picture b) was in compliance with D2 regulations in regard to plankton species. Bacterial analysis is yet to come.
